This photo shows several moth larvae that have infested a large hand-knotted wool oriental rug from the Rochester area. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save this rug; it was totally affected. Frequent visual inspection and annual cleaning can help reduce such a problem, as well as mothproofing. We also can use a non-chemical method to eliminate moth infestation.
